in the book Role of thunder hear my cry there is a family that has has enough of segragation . The members of the Logan family are going through some majors problems. Due to their race,most of the people in the familt arent scared to challenge their issues ...even if it menas sticking up for what they belive in.This family will help each other and other people with the same issues.This famiy has major issues .This involves getting plashed with dirty water,having to wait in line even if they were there before a white person,getting worn out suplies and having certain boundries.The main characters if this story are Cassie,big ma,dadd,mamma,little man,Stacey and christopher john.All of these characters are members of the same family and each day Cassie,mamma,Stacey,and Little man go to school.All of the children and the mother (which is also a teacher at the school) walk to school they have learned that when they get close to school they have to watch out for the bus driver of the white kids.

Roll of thunder has many characters the characters i like are.
cassie, big ma ,dadd, mamma.i like these characters because they where good in the story .Mr. Barnett walked to another counter and began filling the order, but before he finished, a white woman called… the woman handed him a list twice as long as T.J’s and he began filling it…”(pg 110) When Cassie asked Mr. Barnett about T.J’s list to see if he had forgotten he got very angry at her. “‘Whose little nigger is this?!’ Mr. Barnett yelled… ‘I ain’t nobody’s little nigger!’ I screamed…” (pg 111) everybody comforts Cassie a little bit and she finally learns to understand the difference between black and white people.
